The Market Veep 50x52 program was established because we, as a company, believe in the importance of standing for something positive in this world. Each week, every week, we give $50 to a cause that matters to our team. $50 dollars x 52 weeks = Marketing It Forward. That’s a formula where everyone wins. We are grateful for our dedicated team who have personally chosen each of these causes to support.
Gemma E. Moran United Way / Labor Food Center
Mission: To inspire and coordinate the generosity and commitment that sustains a united, thriving community.
The mission of United Way of Southeastern Connecticut is “to inspire and coordinate the generosity and commitment that sustains a united, thriving community.” Since 1988, their Labor Food Center has helped thousands of Connecticut residents each month to achieve a better quality of life by distributing food to individuals and families struggling with hunger and food insecurity.
Elise, a HubSpot Admin here at Market Veep, nominated the Gemma E. Moran United Way / Labor Food Center for inclusion in our 50x52 program. As a resident of Southeastern Connecticut, Elise has seen firsthand what an enormous benefit this organization makes in her community.
“I love the good that Gemma E. Moran United Way / Labor Food Center does for a large community. Their principal work is to feed the hungry. They collect and distribute much need nourishment. But, not just from their building. They fill up trucks and go to where the people are and find those who need it. One of my good friends is in charge of all the volunteer staffing. He does so much good for the community at large. But his efforts for this organization have made it possible to feed hundreds of people every week.”
We support the excellent work of this food distribution organization so that they can continue to help feed those in need. They, too, are standing for something positive in the world.

East Coast Canine Rescue
Mission: We are dedicated to rescuing homeless canines from crowded shelters, as well as situations of abuse and neglect.
East Coast Canine Rescue is dedicated to rescuing homeless canines from crowded shelters, as well as situations of abuse and neglect. Thanks to the generosity of donors these sweet animals receive food and medical care. Their team of volunteers rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes hundreds of canines each year. East Coast Canine Rescue works with an extensive network of animal advocates, foster caregivers, veterinarians, shelters, and rehabilitation centers along the East Coast to save vulnerable animals and give them the loving home they deserve. Even a dog deserves something positive in their world and ECCR is giving it!
American Red Cross
Mission: The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Did you know that 90 cents of every dollar the American Red Cross spends are invested in delivering care? Preventing and alleviating human suffering is its mission. Because of this well-known organization and the generosity of donors, many are able to receive positivity during a very difficult time in their lives. The American Red Cross provides disaster relief to communities, lifesaving blood donations to individuals in need, international aid and support, and educational training courses on health and safety. Donating to the Red Cross enables the organization to respond to disasters, provide meals and shelter, and continue aiding communities around the world.
HappyBottoms
Mission: HappyBottoms collaborates with the community to empower, connect, and impact low-income families by alleviating diaper needs in the KC community.
HappyBottoms provides diapers to families in need. Not only does a donation aid the child, but it also assists the whole family. Over 19,000,000 diapers have been distributed. They offer free diapers and pull-ups to children up to four years old, a Potty Training Education Program, and create awareness about diaper needs. Because HappyBottoms acquires diapers at a 30-50% discount, all donations stretch up to twice as far, providing more families with more diapers. Because not having a clean diaper can really stink!
